  • Peru is currently a very popular travel destination and we advise booking early for international and domestic flights. Book your flight to Lima, the capital of Peru. The airport code is LIM. Depending on the arrival time of your international flight into Lima, (many are night flights from the U.S./Canada arriving in Lima late evening or early morning), you may have to spend the night in Lima. Many US airlines, Copa Air, LATAM Airlines and Avianca Airlines fly into Lima.

Allow about three hours in between your international and domestic flights to pass through immigration, transfer, and in case of delays.

Take a domestic flight from Lima to Cusco. The airport code is CUZ. Flight time from Lima to Cusco is one hour. It is recommended to book these domestic flights in the morning as weather conditions are typically better and there is less chance of flight delay or cancelation.

Holiday Inn at the Lima Airport is safe and has comfy beds and free breakfast if you need a spot to sleep overnight between flights. The cost is around $140-165 depending on the time of year.

  • The weather in Peru in March and April is sometimes wet and there are possibilities of rain or mudded trails, however its the time of greener hillsides and beautiful wildflowers in bloom! Peru's wet season runs from November to April, with moderate to high rainfall. April is the end of the wet season, with about eight days of rain on average. June – August is the dry season in the Peruvian highlands. Temperatures are in the low-mid 50-70s F during the day and 35-50s F in the evenings.

During this time of year layers are your best friend and make sure to pack a rain jacket! Warm sunny days and possible afternoon rainstorms are to be expected. The rain isn't quite in full force in April, however, it can have a beautiful mystical effect on the surrounding area. It is also a great time to visit Machu Picchu since it is less crowded than the typical high season (May-August). A full packing list will be sent prior to the retreat.

This is one of the best times to visit the Andean Highlands and Sacred Valley of Peru!

After booking the retreat you will receive a pre-trip handout that includes a packing list and more information to help in the trip preparation for all weather outcomes.

  • Please note that SEIKRID is not responsible for missed flights, cancelled flights, or other travel challenges such as lost luggage. If you miss your ride from the airport or do not arrive on time, you are responsible to get yourself to our lodging via taxi.

  • Please note that while our SEIKRID retreat includes visits to sacred sites such as Machu Picchu and Sacsaywaman, access to these and similar locations depends on local regulations and conditions. The inclusion of these sites in our itinerary is subject to the availability of permits, weather conditions, and any national or cultural events that may limit access to these magical spaces. We are committed to providing the most authentic and meaningful experience possible and will adjust plans as needed to honor the energy of the land and ensure a smooth, respectful journey. If for whatever reason we are not able to visit all of our sacred sites, we will replace the site with another and provide a new sacred experience. We do not offer refunds due to these types of challenges during retreat.

  • Peruvian cuisine has become world renowned and with good reason! The meals on the retreat are creative, healthy, and tantalizing to the taste buds! All provided meals at our retreat (1 per day guaranteed) will have vegetarian and gluten free options. If you have any specific dietary restrictions (vegan, Keto, Carnivore, or other) please let us know in advance we can assist in planning your meals accordingly.
